What’s your favourite thing about the industry?
I love the fact that the digital economy touches and influences everyone’s daily lives. The ability to automate and innovate even the most basic lifestyle activities is something that is exciting and challenging for everyone in the industry
What’s your role and what does a typical day involve?
It’s very difficult to define a typical day. But a good day is definitely one spent predominately with my people , partners and customers , talking about their challenges and the huge opportunities that exist to resolve them
Looking to the future, what do you see as being the next big thing in tech?
In the not too distant future 5G mobile capability will be here. I think this will certainly enable those companies working on IoT projects and new start ups waiting to take advantage of this capability
Why did you join ScotlandIS and importantly, why are you still with us?
I was always very impressed with the reach Scotland IS has into industry both in the public and private sector. As a nation we have so many good businesses , projects and innovations and I wanted to firstly see what I could do to get more involved and offer any experience and expertise , but just as importantly see what I could learn from many of the other members.
